Petrobras, the Brazilian petroleum company, with a strong presence worldwide, has been fuelling Williams F1 since 1998 through an on-going technical sponsorship that has brought many rewarding results for both parties. The current fuel is yet another stage in Formula One, the technological advance to guarantee the AT&T Williams team its position among the sport's leading teams.
CENPES, Petrobras' Research and Development Centre along with the company's refineries, is responsible for all fuel used in the races and tests of the team which has won the Constructors' Championship nine times. Brazilian talent, until Petrobras entered the sport, was only present behind the wheel, now it works on the design of high performance fuels.
