Sore heads all round. Last night’s AT&T Williams team party became a suitably raucous affair aboard the Stad Amsterdam clipper. Carlsberg supplied the beer and Battery the energy to keep team members going until the early hours. Both Nico and Kaz were there, and this isn’t the place to tell you what time they staggered home…
Congratulations to iSport and Bruno Senna, who won today’s GP2 support race. It was the Senna family’s first win in the Principality since 1993, when Bruno’s uncle Ayrton won his sixth and final Monaco GP. It was also iSport co-owner Jonathan Williams’ first win at the Principality – go, Jonny, go!
Tamara Ecclestone, the 24-year-old daughter of F1’s commercial tsar Bernie, has revealed that she’s a dog lover. She has a Cavalier King Charles spaniel called Hob Knob, a British bulldog called Socky and a pug-cross-beagle called Alvin. Three paddock friends for the Williams family Labradors, Seb and Harry!
Drivers in the sleepy Italian town of Brisighella were given a shock last Sunday when Robert Kubica burst into the town driving his BMW-Sauber F1 car. He was there to pick up the Lorenzo Bandini award and made the 20-kilometre journey from Faenza in his F1.08. “The police were telling me to go faster!” he says. Only in Italy.
