Sunday - After that race...
Knowing what to do between now and the Bahrain Grand Prix in two weeks time has been a bit of a dilemma for me. Many of the drivers aren't returning to Europe, preferring to stay in the heat of the Middle East, but I'm writing this from the departure lounge of Kuala Lumpur International Airport. I'm about to board a flight to London Heathrow.
I've heard that the weather's horrible in the UK at the moment, which won't make it possible to train outside for long periods. I've decided to make the journey for two reasons: first, I had no problems in the heat and humidity of Malaysia, and Bahrain is a much drier heat, which is less energy sapping; second, I want to go home. I enjoy living in Oxford, my adopted home when I'm in Europe, and it means that I can go to the factory next week.
I'll then fly to Bahrain a few days early to get used to the time zone. That should be fine.
See you there.
